1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Hawes Worldwide Anytime, Anywhere Hickory Golf League website at hickorygolfchallenge.com (the "Site") or by registering as a member of the League, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Site or register for membership. These Terms apply to all visitors, members, and others who access or use the Site.

2. Description of the League

The Hawes Worldwide Hickory Golf League is a global amateur golf league for enthusiasts who play classic golf using hickory-shafted clubs manufactured prior to 1935. The League operates a global leaderboard, team standings, and score submission system. Membership is open to golfers worldwide who agree to abide by the League's rules and these Terms.

3. Membership Eligibility and Registration

To register as a member, you must:

• Be at least 18 years of age
• Provide accurate, complete, and current registration information
• Maintain the security of your account password
• Agree to play rounds using hickory-shafted clubs pre-dating 1935
• Submit honest and accurate score information

You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.

4. Membership Fees and Payments

Membership fees are as listed on the Join page and are subject to change with reasonable notice. Fees are non-refundable except where required by applicable law. The League reserves the right to suspend or terminate membership for non-payment. Promotional codes (such as the FOUNDER code) are offered at the League's discretion and may be withdrawn at any time.

5. Score Submission and Integrity

Members are expected to submit accurate and honest scores. Score submissions are used to calculate handicap indices and determine leaderboard standings. Submission of false, inflated, or otherwise inaccurate scores is a violation of these Terms and the spirit of the League. The Commissioner reserves the right to investigate suspicious scores and, where warranted, to disqualify scores, adjust standings, or terminate membership.

6. Code of Conduct

Members agree to conduct themselves with sportsmanship and respect. The following are prohibited:

• Submitting fraudulent scores or manipulating standings
• Harassing, threatening, or abusing other members via the forum or messaging
• Posting spam, offensive, or illegal content in the Member Forum
• Impersonating another member or the Commissioner
• Attempting to gain unauthorized access to other accounts or site systems

Violations may result in immediate suspension or termination of membership without refund.

7. Intellectual Property

The Site and its original content, features, and functionality — including the League name, logos, leaderboard design, and all text — are owned by the Hawes Worldwide Hickory Golf League and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the Site without prior written permission from the Commissioner.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Site and League services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. The League does not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components. Leaderboard standings, handicap calculations, and team assignments are provided for recreational purposes and carry no official governing-body certification.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Hawes Worldwide Hickory Golf League, its Commissioner, and administrators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Site or participation in the League. Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms shall not exceed the membership fees you paid in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Termination

The League reserves the right to suspend or terminate your membership and access to the Site at any time, with or without cause, including for violation of these Terms. You may cancel your membership at any time by contacting us at [email protected]. Upon termination, your right to use the Site ceases immediately.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ontario, Canada.

12. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify members of material changes by posting the updated Terms on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
