The Hickory Ha'penny (HH) is the official rewards currency of the Hawes Worldwide Anytime, Anywhere Hickory Golf League. League members earn Hickory Ha'pennies by playing hickory golf, participating in League challenges, achieving milestones, introducing new players, travelling to new courses and winning League competitions.
What Is a Hickory Ha'penny Worth?
Each Hickory Ha'penny has a redemption value of one-half of one US cent (US$0.005). Your Ha'pennies accumulate in your personal Hickory Wallet and can be redeemed for real value throughout the Hawes hickory community.
Earn 10,000 Ha'pennies and you have US$50 in Hawes purchasing power.

Hickory Ha'pennies can be redeemed through Hawes toward eligible purchases including:
Hawes Store Merchandise
Hickory clubs, bags, apparel, accessories, golf products and other merchandise available through the Hawes Store.

Save your Ha'pennies and apply them toward eligible Hawes golf trips and travel experiences.

Use accumulated Ha'pennies toward registration fees for eligible Hawes tournaments and golf events.

Ha'pennies are not reserved exclusively for the best golfers. We want to reward golfers for playing regularly, improving their game, introducing others to hickory golf, visiting new courses, participating with their team and simply being active members of the worldwide hickory community. Every month brings new opportunities to earn.
Monthly League Challenges
Every month brings another opportunity to compete — every standard Monthly Challenge prize will have a minimum value of US$20, or 4,000 Hickory Ha'pennies.
Best Monthly HPI

Awarded to the golfer recording the month's best qualifying Hickory Performance Index.
Most Improved Player

Recognizing the golfer showing the greatest qualifying improvement during the month.
Beat Your Average

Members who meet the published monthly criteria and beat their established HPI average can compete for a Ha'penny award.
Regional Challenge

Special regional competitions allow golfers to compete closer to home while remaining part of the worldwide League.
Team Challenge

Awarded among the qualifying members of the winning team according to the rules of that month's competition.
Sponsor Challenge

Special sponsor-supported competitions can carry significantly larger Ha'penny purses, merchandise prizes or a combination of both.
Hickory Passport Challenge

Visit new courses, collect Passport stamps, play in new regions or countries, and complete the month's designated Passport Challenge.
Random Member Prize Draw

Every eligible active League member has an opportunity to win. You don't have to be the best golfer in the League to be rewarded.
Participation Milestones
We want members to have an incentive to keep playing throughout the season.
A golfer reaching 40 qualifying rounds would therefore earn 12,000 Ha'pennies — US$60 — from participation milestones alone, before competition winnings, referrals, Passport rewards or sponsor bonuses.

A member reaching the 10-referral milestone earns a total of 22,000 HH — US$110 in milestone referral rewards. Special referral campaigns may offer Double Ha'pennies, bonus prizes or additional sponsor rewards. Every new golfer helps grow the League, strengthens the worldwide hickory community and introduces another person to the game.
Season Championship Awards
The largest Ha'penny awards are reserved for season-ending achievements. Sponsor-supported championships may offer substantially larger Ha'penny purses.

League Points and Ha'pennies Are Different
Your HPI/League Points and Hickory Ha'pennies are two completely separate things. League Points determine your competitive standing. Hickory Ha'pennies are rewards with redemption value. Ha'pennies cannot be used to purchase League points or improve a player's ranking. Spending Ha'pennies never affects your HPI, League Points or position on the leaderboard. That keeps the competition fair while giving participation and achievement real value.
