I am pleased to announce that the 2026-2027 Hawes Worldwide Hickory Golf League Championship will be held as part of the 2027 Irish Hickory Golf Challenge, September 30 – October 5, 2027. The league will initially accept your Worldwide Handicap Index. Your league handicap will then be managed through the league's proprietary HPI system. All existing handicaps have been recalculated accordingly. Please review your updated handicap on the leaderboard.

We welcome select members who participated in the 2026 Ottawa Hickory Golf Challenge as part of our Beta testing of the website and software. We are grateful for their participation and feedback as we build this worldwide community.

Clubs must be hickory-shafted pre-1935 clubs or SoHG approved replicas, such as the Hawes of St. Andrews West "Maxwell" replica set. Steel-core shafts with hickory veneer are not permitted. An additional ruling regarding Otey Crisman Putters: these putters will be allowed for play in any Hawes Golf event, including the Ottawa and Irish Hickory Golf Challenges. If you have questions about your equipment, please contact the Commissioner before submitting scores.
